Canada vs Denmark

Canada vs Denmark : Germany’s unbeaten record at the 2019 IIHF World Championships was brought to an abrupt halt as they were hammered by Canada and now face a quick turnaround as they face another tough contest against the USA.
Canada vs Denmark
The Germans found it tough going against the Canadians and worries around their ability to score were completely founded as they only found the back of the net once in an 8-1 thrashing.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer continues to be a doubt after picking up a muscle injury earlier in the competition with the Germans hoping to have him back soon after making an impressive start.
USA

USA put to bed any nerves they may have had heading into their important encounter with Denmark as they flew out of the blocks to score four goals in the first period on their way to a big win.

The United States ran out 7-1 winners to ensure they remained two points ahead of hosts Slovakia in the race to make the quarter-finals and they will secure that berth if they beat Germany.

Alex Debrincat scored two goals against Denmark to take his tally for the competition to six goals which leaves him just one behind Canada’s Anthony Mantha at the top of goalscoring chart.
THE PREDICTION
Germany’s hopes of making the quarter-finals were dealt a blow when their unbeaten record was ended in spectacular fashion by Canada and they now face another tough test with USA lying in wait. Another loss for the Germans here would open the door for Slovakia to potentially edge them to the final qualifying spot from Group A but if they can find the win, they would be the ones to qualify. They will need to show a response to the Canada loss but it will not be enough with the USA winning comfortably.
